The markdown node editor component has an issue where, as you type, the Monaco editor starts becoming wider and wider, eventually crowding out the display.

  • First, fix that so the two are always exactly 50% of the available width
  • Second, add an enhancement to change the editor view mode between split display (current behavior) and editor only (as supported by mobile).
