Download a package for your operating system from <a href="https://github.com/gnosygnu/xowa/releases/" rel="nofollow" class="external free">https://github.com/gnosygnu/xowa/releases/</a> For example, if you're using Windows, you would download <code>xowa_app_windows_v3.1.1.1.zip</code>.

<li>
Unzip to a folder. See the XOWA Folder section below for possible choices.

When finished, you will have a file called <code>readme.txt</code> as well as many other files and directories.

</h2>
<p>
XOWA works from one folder. For the purpose of the instructions throughout this wiki, this folder will be referred to as <code>/xowa/</code>.

<p>
The table below lists recommended locations by operating system. Note that these are just recommendations: you can use any other folder on your hard drive (or on a flash memory card).
